Flooring for real houses
Most flooring decisions are not made in a showroom. They are made standing in your own hallway, wondering whether the oak will look too orange, whether the carpet will show every footprint, and whether the kitchen really can take a wood-effect floor.
So that is where we start. We come to you with samples, look at them in your light and against your walls, doors and units, and give you a straight answer about what works in that room and what will not. If a cheaper product is the right one, we will say so.
What we supply and fit
- LVT — luxury vinyl tile in herringbone, chevron or plank. Waterproof, hard-wearing and the most popular choice for kitchens, hallways and open-plan ground floors.
- Carpet — bedrooms, stairs, landings and living rooms, from soft twist to hard-wearing loop, on quality underlay.
- Vinyl — a practical, budget-friendly answer for kitchens, bathrooms and utility rooms.
- Laminate — where you want a wood look at a lower price point than LVT or engineered board.
- Hardwood — for rooms where only the real thing will do.
The bit most quotes leave out
Whatever goes on top, the floor underneath decides how long it lasts and how good it looks. Old adhesive, uneven boards, a dipping screed, a bathroom that was never damp-proofed properly — these are the things that turn a good floor into a disappointing one.
We check the subfloor at the measure, not on fitting day, and price the preparation into the quote: latex screeding, smoothing, levelling or a damp proof membrane where it is needed. It is the least glamorous part of the job and the part that makes the difference.
A tidy job, start to finish
We lift and dispose of your old flooring, move what needs moving, protect what needs protecting, and leave the room clean. Our customers mention that more often than anything else, which tells you how rare it apparently is.
Work runs Monday to Friday, most rooms are done in a day, and flexible payment options are available if you would rather spread the cost.
