Quality is everything
It is on everything we write, and it is not a slogan we chose because it sounded good. It is the one thing that separates a flooring contractor worth using from one that is cheaper on the day and expensive a year later.
PRO Flooring is based in Newark-on-Trent and works across the East Midlands — Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. We supply and fit LVT design flooring, carpet, vinyl, laminate and hardwood, and we do our own subfloor preparation, levelling and damp proof membranes rather than treating them as somebody else's problem.
Two kinds of customer, one standard
Roughly half of what we do is domestic: a family choosing flooring for a new house, a couple finally replacing the hallway, a bungalow having every room done at once. That work is won on advice and on tidiness. We bring samples to you, we tell you honestly what will and will not work in the room, and we leave the house cleaner than a lot of people expect.
The other half is new build. Developers and construction companies use us as a flooring subcontractor because we turn plots around quickly, finish plot forty to the same standard as plot one, and do not leave snags behind us. Fast turnaround, reliable scheduling, clean site working, first fix through to handover.
They are very different customers. The standard does not change between them.
Why we make so much of the subfloor
Almost every flooring failure people show us is a preparation failure. A ridge telegraphing through the LVT, an edge lifting because moisture came up through the slab, a floor that has gone hollow where it was never bonded properly.
So we survey the subfloor at the measure, not on fitting day, and we price the latex screeding, levelling, smoothing or damp proof membrane that your floor actually needs into the original quotation. It makes our quotes look less cheap than some. It also means we are not having a conversation with you halfway through the job about an extra that should have been obvious from the start.

We are rated 5.0 on Google, and the reviews say the same things over and over: turns up when he said he would, brought plenty of samples, explained the options, took the old flooring away, cleaned up properly, attention to detail. One customer had a whole bungalow laid in herringbone across three colours, on a DPM and self-levelling we installed first. That is the job in one sentence.
